Burns Night Ceilidh in the heart of Chelsea

Beat the January blues with a proper Scottish shindig!
A midweek Burns Night Ceilidh is taking place in London on Wednesday 28th January, in the Lower Hall at St Columba’s Church, Pont Street - a beautiful venue in a great location, and an excellent space for dancing.
If you’ve come across @JohnTheCaller on Instagram, you’ll already have a feel for the atmosphere: high energy, big smiles, and everyone getting happily involved. The focus is very much on the dancing rather than a long formal dinner.
Never danced before? That’s absolutely fine
No experience is needed! The dances will be clearly explained and called throughout the evening, making it easy for complete beginners to join in, while still being great fun for more experienced dancers. The aim is simple - a friendly, relaxed ceilidh where everyone feels welcome.
How the evening will run
- 7:00pm – Doors open, grab a glass of wine
- 7:30pm – Dancing begins
- Around 8:45pm – Short break, with wine and a few Burns Night snacks
- 10:30pm – Finish
Tickets
- Price: £16 (£14 with code: BURNS26)
- Included: All wine, soft drinks, and nibbles for the evening
- Entry: Online booking only (no tickets sold on the door, no queuing)
- Dress Code: very relaxed - it’s a ceilidh rather than a formal ball. A touch of tartan is encouraged if you have it, but it’s absolutely not a requirement. Smart casual is perfect, and the main thing is to wear something comfortable enough to dance in.
Numbers are limited to ensure plenty of space to dance. Guests are very welcome to bring friends and make a proper Burns Night of it.
