Take your place in the 128-some

As a thank you for supporting The Reel Thing 10th Anniversary Ball, we’re inviting 128 guests to take part in something rather special - completely free.

The Reel Thing only attempts this on very special occasions; the last one was ten years ago. For many dancers, it really will be a once-in-a-reeling-lifetime experience.

The 128-some will happen during the interval and take around 20 minutes. We’ll give you everything you need beforehand so that, on the night, everyone knows exactly where to stand and we can simply get on and dance it.

Everyone who completes the reel will take home a commemorative engraved glass tankard.

Before the Ball, we’ll share the live 128-some sheet showing exactly where you and your partner start. Please check it before the night so everyone can move straight into position.

Take home an engraved tankard

Every dancer who completes the 128-some will receive their own commemorative engraved glass tankard to take home.

How to take part

1. Have your Ball tickets
Both dancers must be attending The Reel Thing Ball.

2. Claim a free place for your pair
One registration reserves two places in the 128-some.

3. Come prepared
Watch the 3-minute video and check exactly where will be starting from, before the night of the Ball.

That’s it. On the night, we’ll get 128 of us onto the floor and dance it.
